Shakunage Assembly
Shakunage Assemblies are meetings supported by ZENOAQ, with the main purpose of enhancing the quality of animal husbandry in Japan through interaction and information exchange among veterinarians and farmers. The first Shakunage Assembly was held in 1969 in Hokkaido. Since then, it has been expanded into 11 separate assemblies nationwide with continuously increasing number of participants each year, and up to a total of 1,100 participants. The study theme of each of the Shakunage Assembly will be decided by a council, mainly consisting of veterinarians from each district. This allows the assemblies to serve as platforms to find timely solutions over current district-related problems, and to provide excellent opportunities to keep participants abreast with the latest knowledge and technology.
